In that time, he helped us select custom cabinetry, appliances, tile and even details such as lighting and cabinet hardware. We are so pleased with the end result and would definitely recommend John.”
“When we started working with John Hall, of the Hall Design Group, we didn’t really know what it was we wanted except that we wanted a new kitchen, laundry room, and primary bath. Through a very careful and professional method, John guided us in planning 3 incredible spaces in our home. He helped us every step of the way and we are extremely happy with the end result. Now that it’s complete, it’s better than we initially imagined. The design phase took close to a year but it was worth it because when the construction began, we all were ready and there were no surprises. John’s attention to detail, many years of experience, excellent communication skills, and patience led us through the design and construction phases with hardly any issues. And when there were issues, they were minimal and John was on it. We ordered all appliances and cabinets in plenty of time so that supply chain issues were not a factor. The construction company he suggested was exemplary. The construction portion of the project took about 6 months (plus a little extra for some punch list items). Now that it’s over, we actually miss seeing our construction team and John! They were respectful of our space and privacy. Cleaned up every day and made living in the house while it was pulled apart, as easy as possible. I recommend the Hall Design Group with no reservations. If you hire them, you will be glad you did!”
“John Hall, along with one of his prized contractors, Jim Huntington, did a remodel of our kitchen and two and a half baths, AND they managed and coordinated new flooring, lighting and painting throughout our 2600 sq. ft. house. We were 100% thrilled with every aspect of the job. We set time and dollar budgets at the start. John promised to watch both scrupulously and he did. He guided us through all of our choices — cabinets, appliances, plumbing, lighting, flooring — and worked seamlessly with Jim to keep the project on track. We had very few hiccups, but when they occurred, John came to us immediately and was prepared with options. He takes great pride in the product he produces, and therefore associates with people who do first-rate work. Our home is beautiful! We have done many home renovation projects both before and after our opportunity to work with John, so I can compare John to multiple other design professionals in Cleveland and other cities. John is, by far, the very best we have worked with. He listened to what we wanted, asked great questions, and reconfigured each space to make the kitchen/bath/etc. more functional and more beautiful than I envisioned. He has top-quality contractors and vendors and works with them closely to make sure the project is done according to plan and within budget. Kitchens, in particular, require an expert for functionality, clearances, lighting, outlet placement. John focuses on these details as well as the overall vision. “We discovered John at one of the home improvement tradeshows where we attended one of his seminars. The next spring we visited his studio for a kitchen and bath design class; a year later, we finally got around to hiring him to manage the renovation of our kitchen and bathrooms, as well as updates to other areas of the house. The house was built in 1960 and never updated til now, so John (and contractor Jim) had their work cut out for them despite its small size. Throughout the process – nearly 8 months from signing to completion – John kept us updated and on schedule. His service contacts (painting, flooring, appliances, HVAC, windows, etc.) treated us with great care. It’s a year later and we are still pinching ourselves at the transformation he helped us achieve. We LOVE our new home! Friends and family are amazed at what was accomplished. (I’ve attached a few before and after combo photos of the kitchen and a separate before (pink tile!) and after of the master bath.) “Johns have us an amazing kitchen, it is spacious, functional beyond what I could have imaged, tons of natural light and storage. Our original footprint was small and with the usual kinks of an old home. John understood our needs, pain points and desires, and he gave us a spacious kitchen, he used every inch and corner.
